My Canada Day Long Weekend -Part 2

I really should be writing my paper that's due tomorrow... but I really want to finish my Canada day weekend post.  Haha procrastination at its finest ♥

I'll start off with Victoria's Chinatown.  It is a beautiful and historic looking place with a mix of Victorian and Chinese style.

And here's the famous Fan Tan Alley... the thinnest alley I've ever seen!

We came across this store there that had a lot of nude artwork and photography on display.  I didn't take any pictures of them, but they were very extravagant and unique. 

My Canada Day Long Weekend - Part 1

Here's to an awfully delayed post on how I spent my Canada Day long weekend xD

On July 1st, I went to Victoria to celebrate Canada Day and stayed there for a night.  
It was a hectic morning since I decided to pack up everything in the morning of the trip! Haha always the procrastinator -- me.

Anyways, we managed to catch the 10am ferry.  Here's a few snapshots of the gorgeous scenery on the ferry.

The weather was truly beautiful on the day so it was the perfect day for travelling! =)

After we arrived in Victoria, we went to find a place for lunch since we didn't have breakfast in the morning.

We found an American style restaurant called Floyd's Diner.  I didn't manage to take a picture of the restaurant, but the ambience was beautiful -- a retro, Marilyn Monroe feel, which was perfect for a hot, sunny day xD

Vampire Diaries

I was MIA and haven't posted lately due to this drama xD

It's simply too good to resist! I was watching one episode after another non-stop... each episode ended with an extreme cliff-hanger!!

I usually don't watch Western drama... I think the last one I watched was Heroes back in '08. I've been meaning to watch this one for ages.. but I somehow linked it with "Twilight" and kept putting it off for later.  To all Twilight fans out there, I don't mean to have any negative feelings about Twilight ~ it's just that the movies didn't work for me at all... well the first movie anyways.  After watching the first one, I didn't bother watching any of the other ones.  The acting wasn't good, and the storyline wasn't all that intriguing for me.  

This drama is AMAZING! I was totally captivated after watching the first episode.  It's not only about romance, but it's also filled with suspense, mystery and action.  It's also one of the most watched dramas in North America for women ranging from ages 18-34.  

Nightmarket + Car + Estrella

Last night I went to the Richmond Night Market again.  I really love going because going there gives me the feeling of being in Hong Kong, with all the people and the crowds.  I love the feeling of a busy night life =)

Here was my outfit for the night ~

Super busy food area! Took us more than 10 minutes to move from one side to the other!

Food was really delicious but very slow since the lineups were very long.  Overall, a very good experience with cheap food and nice ambience full of people and excitement ♥   

I also tried out a hairband yesterday since I saw it all over the Popteen magazines and wanted to try it myself ~ yay or nay?

By the way, I finally bought a new car.  After being in an accident last year, which totaled my car, I had to start saving up for a new one.  At first, it was hard getting used to taking the bus again, but now it's almost my second home on the bus haha xD Either way, I'm very happy to have a car again and now life would be a lot easier for me to teach piano, facetrade, whatnot ~

The front bumper needs to be fixed, however.  (Can you see the duct tape on the left side? xD) But I'm very happy I can drive again now ^o^

Also, my sister's boyfriend gave us one of his dogs yesterday.  She's a shih tzu and her name's Estrella! 4 years old and extremely loyal and a verrrry good girl ♥

For more than half the price of MA*RS, this dress is extremely sexy and glamourous.

I also came across some extremely cute flats from Grace Gift that made me wanna buy them straight away xD (oh my shopaholic self! haha)

Sooo adorable and I love the pink color! They also look very comfortable and soft ^o^

Vancouver Riot

So finally I'll be writing my delayed post about the final hockey game last Wednesday ^o^
I went to downtown on the day to catch the game.

We got to downtown quite late though, so every single pub/ bar we could think of was full and wasn't accepting anymore incomers.  Luckily, we found a small restaurant near the hair salon that I go to (Chura Hairsalon) that still had some spots left.  

Called Scoozis, a Mediterranean Bar & Grill, the waiters and waitresses were very friendly and the best part was that they had several TVs to watch the game xD

We ordered the 12" House Special Pizza for starters, which was super delicious although expensive xD

And of course we're watching the game =)

We lost in the end =( ....  Although it was a disappointing game, it's still good to see that we made it to the finals and to the very last game =)

Now comes the highlight of the day....the Vancouver Riot.
